The
Beginner Kit will give a novice needlepointer an opportunity to try a
variety of different stitches that are fairly easy to do and
build confidence before beginning the basket weave stitch.
Also, since each boarder square is small and can be completed
fairly quickly, it will give the beginner a sense of accomplishment as
each square is completed. It also gets the beginner to count
the weave of the canvas and learn how to center and position things
like letters.

The
Intermediate kit is intended to challenge a needlepointer with more
experience. The stitches are more complex than in the
Beginner Kit, and the canvas design must be counted out on a blank
canvas. However, because all the areas are rectangular and
repeat down and across the canvas, it is not an overwhelming challenge.

What
comes with the Beginner Kit:
- 14
mesh canvas (13" x 14") with the pillow design on the canvas.
Each square
and area
on the canvas
is labled.
- A
sitch
guide, which includes detailed instuctions, diagrams on how
to do each
stitch, and fiber recommendations.
- The
design and information necessary for any initials you choose to put in
the middle of the pillow (either a letter or several letters).
- Instructions
on how to mount the canvas on stretcher bars.
